Ten2 Takes Off

Ten2: a critical success.

In the few months since its introduction, the Ten2, our gutsiest combo/cab ever, has become AI’s biggest seller — and a major hit with guitar, bass, keyboard and string players around the world.

Our Contra, Coda and Corus combos are still doing very nicely. But the Ten2 is setting the pace because it offers the best of all worlds: coverage all over the bandstand, more volume, a stronger upfront presence, and the ability to move a lot more air when needed.

Players have also told us they appreciate the additional midrange presence offered by the Ten2 compared with other AI enclosures (thanks to the new crossover which also corrects for phase differences between downfiring and frontfiring drivers) — and AI’s exclusive Room Coupling Control™ which helps subdue boomy acoustic settings.

By itself, a Ten2 serves up lots of sound for small to medium size rooms (and for large rooms where the band isn’t over the top volume-wise). With a Ten2EX added, the combination is loud enough for virtually any setting. Among the important changes we’ve made to our website over the past year was the addition of the Video Links space where you can upload a video of you (or someone you know) playing on your Acoustic Image amp or combo.

Here’s how it works. You provide the URL of the video (and any comments or explanation you want), we watch to make there is no hoax (or farmyard animals) involved, and then upload the link to our site. Our objective is to showcase musicians playing any style of music through our products. We’d love to hear from you.

Continuity for Discontinued Combos

When we brought out our new “+” models late in 2009, we officially discontinued the “non plus” Clarus 2R, CodaR and Corus and offered remaining inventory at a ten percent discount. Our supply of Clarus 2Rs is now exhausted, but we still have sufficient parts to supply older generation CodaRs and Corus’ on special order (and at the special price).
